Former Australian deputy chief medical officer Dr Nick Coatsworth is one of three healthcare professionals appointed to Greencare Clinics' newly formed advisory committee.
Dr Coatsworth, who guided Australia through the opening phase of the COVID-19 pandemic alongside chief medical officer Dr Paul Kelly, will sit on the committee with Dr Sylvia Victor and former TGA staffer Nasis Ellis, providing expert direction to the company.
Greencare chief executive George Moskos said the appointment of "such esteemed and knowledgeable health professionals" will be "invaluable".
The three appointees will advise on clinical governance and operations "to enhance patient outcomes".
An infectious disease and respiratory physician, Dr Coatsworth held the deputy chief medical officer position for eight months from March 2020 before moving into the part-time role of senior medical advisor for COVID-19 until September 2021.

He has occupied several senior positions at Canberra Hospital since 2016 and was recently appointed as the Nine Network's medical expert.
Dr Victor is a research scientist with specialised knowledge in alternative therapies.
Her career in healthcare spans senior roles across healthtech software, medical device innovation, and biotechnology research and development.
Rounding out the committee is Nasis Ellis, a former assistant director of the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Special Access Section.

Ellis is a registered community pharmacist practising in the ACT and regional NSW and will support Greencare in navigating the evolving regulatory and healthcare environment.
Moskos said: "Greencare is delighted to have attracted such esteemed and knowledgeable health professionals and experts to the committee. Their wealth of experience and expertise across both natural and broader healthcare will be invaluable.
"I am personally humbled to be working with these great minds and I am confident that with their insights we will continue to offer our patients the best possible healthcare."
