Submissions have been pouring in for the first-ever Cannabis Industry Awards for Australia and New Zealand — with one week remaining before the April 14 entry deadline.
Designed to become the industry's most prestigious honours, all 20 categories will be assessed by at least four jurors, each scoring independently against defined criteria.
The shortlisted finalists will be revealed on May 4, with the awards ceremony scheduled for June 8.
Co-founder and chief growth officer Martin Lane said: "We pride ourselves on the independence of our editorial coverage and the The Cannabis Observer Awards will have the same high standards of integrity.
"We've deliberately written judging criteria which reward not just commercial performance, but long-term strategy, patient advocacy, company culture and industry contribution.
"Now is not the time to be coy — let's tell the world about the great work we're doing, giving people hope and improving lives.
"We also want to make the awards night really special — a celebration of all that's good in the sector, where we recognise the companies, organisations and individuals who are truly making a difference."
The awards, sponsored by Tasmanian Botanics, Bod Science, Pharmalytics, Standard Botanic, Oz Medicann Group and CMI Safe Company, are divided across five streams — companies, individuals, industry leadership, healthcare and product.
