Final Places Running Out for Cape to Cape for Cannabis Walk in Western Australia

With only four weeks remaining before this year's Cape to Cape for Cannabis event in Western Australia, organisers are calling on industry participants to register before spots fill up at the four-day charity gathering.

The event, hosted by Medical Cannabis Research Australia (MCRA), is scheduled for April 17 to 20 in Margaret River.

Accommodation at Margarets Beach Resort has already been fully booked. MCRA managing director Sharlene Mavor said nearby alternatives were still available, though she urged attendees to make arrangements quickly given April's popularity as a peak period for the region.

Over the course of the four days, participants will walk guided portions of the Cape to Cape track, covering roughly three to four hours of ground each day along one of Australia's most scenic and dramatic stretches of coastline.

The program includes a dedicated education day featuring prominent Australian clinicians and researchers — among them Dr Janet Schloss, Justin Sinclair and Dr Jim Connell — as well as contributions from Dr Brian Walker MLA and former Victorian MP Fiona Patten.

The session will give healthcare professionals a chance to engage directly with the latest clinical thinking in a field that continues to evolve at pace.

A range of social events is also planned throughout the weekend, including an opening night function in Margaret River, gatherings at winery cellar doors, and a beachside event featuring live music and food.

All funds raised will go toward MCRA's charitable mission, which covers supporting medicinal cannabis research, educating doctors and patients, and improving access for Australians who need it.
