Leafio, a wholesaler owned by Montu, has released a dedicated handbook aimed at helping pharmacists manage the complexities of stocking and dispensing medicinal cannabis.
The publication, titled Leafio Lens, is described by the company as a "comprehensive, practical reference that supports pharmacists in learning, upskilling, and confidently dispensing medical cannabis."
The handbook covers Australian and global medical cannabis market trends and future outlook, guidance for pharmacists on how to conduct patient conversations, and a step-by-step walkthrough for preparing a pharmacy to stock and dispense medicinal cannabis products.
It also provides educational material on terpenes, dosing, and the various methods of administration for edibles, oils, flowers, and vaporisers.
The release follows the Pharmacy Guild of Australia warning its members against placing profit ahead of patient safety.
