Heyday Medical has claimed two state-level wins at the Telstra Best of Business Awards.
The company took out both the Championing Health and Outstanding Growth categories for Tasmania. Telstra described Heyday as "a medicinal cannabis company that aims to evolve healthcare by empowering patients with a new approach to better health."
Based in Hobart, the business works with more than 380 prescribers across Australia and currently supports over 6,000 patients.
Telstra also noted: "Founded by Dr Jim Connell and Phoebe Macleod, Heyday prides itself on innovation, patient care, and sustainable cannabis medicine."
The awards programme was established to honour Australia's top small and medium-sized businesses, recognising them as "the foundation of the country's financial, cultural and social prosperity."
"The successful ones can adapt to both their own and their community's changing needs," Telstra said.
Businesses are considered across seven categories: Accelerating Women, Building Communities, Championing Health, Embracing Innovation, Indigenous Excellence, Outstanding Growth and Promoting Sustainability.
