Following two pandemic-driven online-only events, MCIA's ACannabis conference is returning as an in-person gathering in March, with a strong lineup of local and international speakers and discounted tickets on offer.
Topics including the TGA's advertising rules, TGO93 reforms, and global opportunities for Australia's medicinal cannabis industry will be front and centre, while Australia and New Zealand College of Cannabinoid Practitioners president Dr Orit Holtzman will lead a CPD-accredited course designed for healthcare practitioners.
Titled A practical guide to prescribing medicinal cannabis in Australia, the course will address the endocannabinoid system, current clinical evidence, TGA prescribing guidelines, dosing considerations and potential side effects.
The full-day course runs on Tuesday March 14, and healthcare practitioners who attend will also receive access to day two of ACannabis.
Hunter Land has also been confirmed as an international keynote speaker, joining former Greens leader Richard Di Natale, prominent physician Professor Kerryn Phelps, and the TGA's John Skerritt and Avi Rebera on the program.

Land, who is vice president of research and development at Biopharmaceutical Research Company (BRC), will travel from the United States to share his perspective on current trends and international opportunities in medicinal cannabis and cannabinoid development.
BRC is among a small number of DEA Schedule 1, FDA-compliant cannabinoid research and development companies. Land brings 20 years of R&D experience and has built a discovery pipeline spanning more than 20 novel cannabinoids and terpenes.
ACannabis will be held at Melbourne Park's Centrepiece venue on March 14-15.
