Rua Bioscience Posts Half-Year Revenue Beat, Citing Germany and Dried Flower Sales

New Zealand cannabis company Rua Bioscience has recorded unaudited revenue of NZ$694k for the six months to December 31, 2024, exceeding its prior forecast by 16%.

During a capital raise late last year, Rua had projected sales of $600,000 for the period.

The company credited the outperformance to strong growth across its core markets — Germany, Australia, and New Zealand — alongside healthy demand for its recently launched dried flower products.

Rua noted that Germany has continued to see rising demand following regulatory changes that took effect in April last year.

CEO Paul Naske said the results proved the effectiveness of the firm's export-led strategy and "provides evidence that we are delivering on our plans".

For the remainder of FY25, the company intends to work with suppliers to grow volumes in response to market demand and broaden its product range.
