Emyria has finalised its purchase of Mind Body Consulting, operating under the name Pax Centre, in a transaction valued at A$1.7 million paid through a combination of cash and shares.
The Pax Centre, a Perth-based clinic, focuses on treating patients affected by the psychological consequences of trauma, with services covering mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, and substance abuse.
In a statement to the ASX, Emyria said the transaction would bolster its standing in the growing field of psychedelic-assisted therapies.
It said: "With a more diverse team of health professionals and expanded clinical capabilities, Emyria can increase its range of services, patient outcomes and potential revenue streams allowing for greater reinvestment into [our] own research and drug development initiatives."
Emyria, which counts Emerald Clinics among its existing holdings, said that treating a broader patient population would also enhance its capacity to gather comprehensive and high-quality clinical data.
CEO Dr Michael Winlo added: "This acquisition combines the Pax Centre's expertise in psychological trauma care and specialised facilities with Emyria's clinical, real-world data and drug-development strengths.
"[It] marks the commencement of Emyria's growth strategy and commitment to redefine mental health care delivery and drug development in Australia and beyond."
Earlier this month, the company secured commitments from new and sophisticated investors through a $2m placement and announced an entitlement offer targeting approximately $3.1m on the same terms. The proceeds are intended to advance the company's strategic goals in mental healthcare.
