Jesus Diaz, who served as general manager of production and research and development at ECS Botanics, has taken on the role of cultivation director at Austranna.
Diaz came to ECS from Little Green Pharma in July 2023, starting out as technical manager before being elevated to the GM position in October of that year.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Diaz said he was excited about the "challenges and opportunities" at Austranna.
Prior to ECS, Diaz spent nearly three years at Tasmanian Botanics.
Emyria
Dr Michael Winlo has departed the managing director and chief executive position at Emyria, moving into the newly assigned role of chief scientific officer, where he will be responsible for the company's real-world evidence research, clinical trials and proprietary drug-development programs.

In his new capacity, Dr Winlo will report to Greg Hutchinson, who has been appointed executive chairman after previously holding that position on a non-executive basis.
"Emyria is uniquely positioned to transform mental health care in Australia as well as other global jurisdictions," Hutchinson said. "I look forward to positioning the company for growth and driving expansion of its exceptional clinical services to meet the rising demand for better health interventions.
"I would like to thank Dr Winlo for his five years of service as MD and CEO of Emyria."
Dr Winlo predicted 2025 will be a "transformative year" for the company.
