The Australian Medicinal Cannabis Association's newly established cultivators sub-association will convene for the first time next Wednesday, January 24, at 12pm.
Australian Cannabis Cultivators (ACC) launched in November with a mission to support local growers through collaboration, education and advocacy and to improve product quality and cultivation production efficiencies while building a strong brand for locally grown cannabis.
AMCA interim chair Emily Rigby will lead the ACC steering committee, with prominent cannabis growers Andrew Olley (Medicinal Harvest), Angus Murray (Cann Group), and Max Edgley (Tasmanian Botanics) also taking part.
ACC provides educational opportunities through webinars, guest speakers, and peer-to-peer learning, and gives members free access to UIC 2023 recordings via AMCA's education platform, Teach-Hub.
Membership in the ACC is open to cannabis growers and researchers based in Australia and New Zealand, and is available at no cost to existing AMCA members.
The ACC is the fourth sub-association under the AMCA umbrella, joining three existing groups focused on healthcare professionals: Cannabis Clinicians Australia (formerly the Society of Cannabis Clinicians Australian Chapter), the Australian Cannabis Nurses Association, and the Australian Cannabis Pharmacists Association.
