An upcoming panel at next month's ACannabis conference will tackle Israel's anti-dumping investigation into Canadian cannabis imports and what the case could mean for the Australian industry.
Israel's economy ministry recently launched a formal anti-dumping inquiry after concerns emerged that the volume of foreign product entering the market may be harming domestic producers.
The development has drawn attention from Australian companies, which have also been feeling the pressure of competition from imported cannabis, particularly product originating from Canada.
The panel will include Cannatrek general counsel and Phytoca director Andrew Dowling, ANTG COO James Gaskell, ECS Botanics MD Nan-Maree Schoerie, ASDA Consultancy Services principal Deepak Anand and Little Green Pharma CEO Paul Long.
Another addition to the ACannabis program is champion jockey and Levin Health sports advisory board member Damien Oliver, who will appear in conversation with AFL coach and fellow board member Alastair Clarkson, joined by Levin MD Mark Brayshaw.
The event runs from March 12-14 at Crown Promenade in Melbourne, with a two-day conference and gala dinner followed by an advisory and compliance day.
