Parliament House in Western Australia played host to its inaugural medicinal cannabis gathering last week, bringing together healthcare professionals, cannabis industry representatives and politicians under one roof.
Legalise Cannabis MP Sophia Moermond brought together doctors, pharmacists, researchers, cultivators, manufacturers and suppliers for the event, which was sponsored by Cannatrek. Fellow Legalise Cannabis MP Dr Brian Walker also attended.
Among the notable guests were Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia's Peter Crock and Patty Holmes, who had travelled to Perth to deliver one of the trade body's Australian Trade and Market Access Cooperation workshops.
A spokesperson for Moermond said: "It was really good to get everyone in the same room for what we hope will become an annual event."
