The Entourage Effect eyes three new NSW clinic locations alongside major Sydney warehouse upgrade

The Entourage Effect has announced plans to open MiDispensary clinics in three additional New South Wales cities, with the company also set to more than triple its warehousing capacity in Sydney.

Newly appointed chief executive Lisa Varley said the company was approximately six months from launching a clinic in Newcastle, with two further locations planned for Wollongong and Fairfield.

The new sites will join the existing MiDispensary clinic at Bondi Junction in providing medicinal cannabis services to patients across NSW.

Each location will offer both in-person consultations and telehealth appointments, alongside independently operated pharmacies.

"Our focus is NSW because we know how busy it already is in Queensland and there's also a lot going on in Victoria," Varley said. "But NSW tends to be forgotten, so that will be our focus rather than branching out across Australia and trying to be everything to everyone."

The expansion announcement coincided with The Entourage Effect opening its new Greenacre warehouse, located in south-west Sydney, to industry partners.

The new distribution centre has capacity for 80,000 units, a considerable step up from the company's current 25,000-unit facility in the inner-city suburb of Alexandria.

The Alexandria site will continue operating after the Greenacre facility receives its licence from the Department of Health, bringing combined total capacity to 105,000 units.

Varley said the new site is expected to be fully operational and processing orders within the next few weeks.

She said the facility would deliver improved operational efficiencies for pharmacists and brand partners alike.

"This expansion underscores The Entourage Effect's commitment to advancing the medicinal cannabis landscape, ensuring end-to-end support for our partners," Varley added.

The Entourage Effect is also awaiting approval from the Pharmacy Guild to establish a pharmacy at its Bondi Junction clinic.

Varley emphasised that the company will hold no financial stake in that pharmacy — or any future dispensing operation — with each running independently from the broader business.

"We'd like patients to be able to see the doctor and get their medicine on the spot," she said. "Our model is to ensure efficiencies wherever possible."

Commenting on Varley's appointment as CEO, The Entourage Effect founder Eidan Havas praised her "passion, experience and credibility within the industry".

"We have full confidence in Lisa's ability to lead both The Entourage Effect and MiDispensary," he said. "I look forward to continuing to work with her to deliver exceptional results for our brand partners, pharmacies and patients."
