Australia and New Zealand Cannabis Awards Draw Over 120 Entries

The 2023 Cannabis Awards for Australia and New Zealand have received more than 120 entries spread across 20 categories.

Submissions will be forwarded to judges this week, with a shortlist set to be revealed on May 4 and the awards ceremony scheduled for June 8 at a location and city yet to be confirmed.

Co-founder and chief growth officer Martin Lane said: "It's always a bit nerve wracking launching a new initiative, but the industry has got behind the The Cannabis Observer Awards right from the start.

"We had a great response from our judges and sponsors and entries have flooded in from across the sector.

"We're now going through the submissions to determine where most have come from so we can decide on the location for the presentation ceremony. We understand budgets are tight, so we want to limit interstate travel as much as possible.

"We'll be announcing the venue very soon, and thanks to the fantastic support we've had from across the industry, we'll be making sure it's a night to remember."

The awards, sponsored by Tasmanian Botanics, Bod Science, Pharmalytics, Standard Botanic, Oz Medicann Group and CMI Safe Company, are divided into five groupings — companies, individuals, industry leadership, healthcare and product.
