The Office of Drug Control (ODC) has published a consultation paper proposing new medicinal cannabis licensing fees due to come into effect next year.
A public consultation on the proposals is open until February 10, 2023 with webinars scheduled to provide industry stakeholders with further information on the changes.
The move comes after the Narcotic Drugs Amendment (Medicinal Cannabis) Bill 2021 was passed in June last year to simplify cannabis licensing and reduce red tape
The consultation paper outlines the licence, permit, inspection and annual charges due to come into effect on July 1, 2023 subject to government approval.
