Vitura Health has entered into its first distribution agreement with MedReleaf Australia.
Through the arrangement, MedReleaf — a wholly owned subsidiary of Canadian company Aurora Cannabis — will have its products listed on Vitura's Canview platform and distributed via Burleigh Heads Cannabis' pharmacy network.
Products available through Canview include the IndiMed, Aurora, Whistler, Cannabis Co and CraftPlants brands.
This is the second significant distribution contract MedReleaf Australia has secured in recent months, following the agreement reached in December with Leafio.
Vitura estimated the deal has the potential to generate approximately $15 million in revenue over time, subject to demand, product uptake, and prevailing regulatory and market conditions.
Vitura chief executive Ryan Tattle said the partnership will deliver "clear commercial outcomes for both parties", and include the introduction of new products and formats.
Neurotech International
Neurotech has activated the first clinical site for its Phase 3 'Beyond Harmony' trial, which is assessing its cannabinoid-based therapy NTI164 in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The inaugural site — Monash Children's Hospital — is now accepting patients for screening and recruitment after receiving regulatory approvals, with further sites expected to be added over the coming months.
The multi-centre, randomised, placebo-controlled study will enrol 150 patients and evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of the therapy, with a focus on core ASD symptoms and the underlying neuroinflammatory pathways involved.
Chief executive and managing director Anthony Filippis said the first trial site marked a "major milestone" for the firm, and families affected by ASD.
"Beyond Harmony is designed to rigorously evaluate NTI164 in a well-controlled setting, and we look forward to progressing recruitment across multiple centres," he said.
Neurotech has previously reported positive early-stage clinical results for NTI164 in autism and PANDAS/PANS.
