Legalise Cannabis Victoria races to $10,000 fundraising deadline; Bioxyne rebrands as BLS Pharmaceuticals

Legalise Cannabis Victoria is running an end-of-financial-year fundraising campaign with a target of $10,000 by midnight on June 30, as the party gears up for the Victorian election in November.

Former federal candidate Fiona Patten said the party required the funds to “protect our seats” in the Victorian parliament.

“There are a lot of conservative parties gunning for those seats in November,” Patten said.

“We need to raise $10,000 by midnight tomorrow to be ready for them. Every donation is tax deductible. Even a small contribution will make a real difference for a party our size.”

BLS Pharmaceuticals

Bioxyne has completed its transition to BLS Pharmaceuticals Limited following a shareholder vote earlier this month, with the company due to commence trading under its new ASX ticker, BLS, on July 7.

In the interim, the company will operate under the temporary trading code BXNDA while a share consolidation process is finalised.

Managing director Sam Watson said the rebrand, which brings BLS Pharmaceuticals into closer alignment with its subsidiary Breathe Life Sciences, was “more than a name change” and reflected “the business we have built and the direction we are heading.”

“Through Breathe Life Sciences, we have established a GMP manufacturing platform supporting medicinal cannabis, MDMA, psilocybin and other regulated pharmaceutical products across multiple jurisdictions,” he said.
