Industry roundup: MedReleaf adds new products across ANZ; Bioxyne ships first psilocybin capsules; Greencare Clinic appoints medical lead

MedReleaf Australia has broadened its offerings across Australia and New Zealand, adding three flower products and four resin cartridges to its range.

The four cartridges are being made available in Australia, while the three new flower options will increase the choices available to prescribers in New Zealand.

MedReleaf Australia interim managing director Stanley Sack described both countries as a "top priority" for the Aurora-owned company.

"We are deeply committed to our continued investment across the region," he said. "As patient needs evolve, so does our responsibility to deliver high‑quality, diversified product formats that support prescribers in delivering better care.

"Our focus on quality and reliable supply reflects our dedication to ensuring patients have meaningful access to the products they depend on."

Bioxyne/Breathe Life Sciences

Medicinal cannabis manufacturer Bioxyne has taken receipt of its first order of GMP-manufactured psilocybin capsules intended for investigational use in treatment-resistant depression.

Through the order, Bioxyne subsidiary Breathe Life Sciences (BLS) will supply 250 doses to authorised prescribers in Queensland and Western Australia, with the aim of treating around 60 patients over the coming 12 months.

The capsules will also support exploratory research into additional mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, substance use disorder and PTSD.

Bioxyne chief executive Sam Watson said BLS was "translating its psychedelic manufacturing capabilities into early commercial results and positive patient outcomes".

"For Bioxyne, these initial supply agreements reflect disciplined execution at the outset of a multi-billion dollar opportunity with the potential to meaningfully improve quality of life for millions of people," he said.

Greencare Clinic

Greencare Clinic has appointed Dr Aarons Rogers to the role of medical lead.

Chief executive George Moskos said the practitioner brings a combination of "clinical expertise, genuine care, a warm energy and thoughtful leadership".

"His guidance will play a vital role in supporting our practitioners and ensuring patients continue to receive safe, high-quality care throughout their natural healthcare journey," Moskos said.
