A new GMP-certified CBD oil containing zero traces of THC has been developed specifically for athletes and employees who face regular workplace drug testing.
CBD Force — an Australian company that develops CBD products for athletes and individuals bound by strict drug-testing compliance requirements — has released a banned substance-tested oil that meets World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) standards.
The company said BST100 offers a CBD solution that is "safer for elite athletes" and for employees required to undergo drug testing, including first responders, healthcare professionals, and workers in the mining and construction industries.
Each bottle of the 0% THC, 3,000mg product contains CBD isolate standardised to 100 mg/ml in an MCT oil base, making it "the most reliable and potent CBD product for those who cannot risk the presence of THC in their system", according to CBD Force.
The product carries certification from California's Banned Substances Control Group (BSCG), whose independent laboratory testing confirmed that BST100 is free from substances banned under WADA guidelines, as well as other pharmaceutical contaminants.
CBD Force and BSCG have entered into an exclusivity agreement to supply banned substance-tested CBD products across Australia and New Zealand.
The founding team behind CBD Force brings together professional athletes and scientists, who collaborated throughout the product's development.
"Our goal was to create a product that not only meets but exceeds the highest global standards for CBD oils," said co-CEO Troy McGuinness. "With BST100, we are proud to offer an option that is both safer and effective for athletes and professionals in Australia."
Previously, people subject to rigorous drug-testing regimes faced the prospect of forgoing the potential benefits of CBD entirely, given the risk of THC contamination triggering a positive test result and putting their careers at risk.
CBD Force said: "Now, with the assurance of a 0% THC product that meets WADA standards, individuals can harness the advantages of CBD without fear of violating industry or professional regulations."
