Montu Partners with Chronic Pain Australia to Raise A$100,000 During Pain Awareness Month

Montu has teamed up with Chronic Pain Australia (CPA) in a campaign tied to Pain Awareness Month, aiming to raise A$100,000 for the organisation.

Through to the end of September, Montu and its patient platform Alternaleaf are contributing $2 from every patient order to CPA, which will direct the funds toward advocacy work for Australians affected by chronic pain.

Montu vice president Rhys Staley said: "About two thirds of our patients use plant medicine to manage their chronic pain conditions.

“We are proud to be aligning with CPA this September and, on behalf of tens of thousands of our patients, further their advocacy during Pain Awareness Month.”

CPA works to advocate for the 3.6 million Australians living with chronic pain and champions what it calls triple AAA standards of care — awareness, accessibility and affordability.

President Nicolette Ellis said: “The donation from Montu means that CPA can dedicate resources to amplifying the voice of those who live with chronic pain and make this invisible condition visible in the hearts and minds of the Australian community.

“Additional support will contribute funding for pain research, more patient advocacy at the highest levels of government and more support for those living with chronic pain,” she added.
