Little Green Pharma's Paul Long Appointed to MCIA Board

Paul Long, chief executive of Little Green Pharma, has been appointed to the board of Medicinal Cannabis Industry Australia, taking the seat vacated by Carol Ireland when she departed in June.

MCIA referred to Long as a "forward thinking leader and a great asset to the board".

"Paul's proven leadership and commitment to the global medicinal cannabis industry make him an ideal addition to the board," MCIA chairman Kristin Viccars said.

"We are confident that he will build upon the MCIA's strong foundation and further enhance its impact on the industry."

Ireland, who serves as chief executive of Epilepsy Action Australia, had held the chairwoman role for six months before stepping down.

The current board also includes Altum International CEO Ean Alexander, ANTG CEO and founder Matt Cantelo, Cannatrek general manager of product and industry development Phoebe Macleod, Vitura Health CEO Geoff Cockerill, and Corporate Affairs Advisory managing director Justin Howden.

MCIA is set to host the ACannabis event in Melbourne next week.
