Senior figures from across the cannabis industry will converge on London next month to examine European market developments, with the sector projected to surpass €1.5 billion by 2027.
Cannabis Europa, organised by Prohibition Partners, is scheduled for The Barbican on May 26 and 27, drawing a roster of European and international speakers.
The event arrives at a pivotal moment as regulatory frameworks across the continent mature, institutional investment grows, and consolidation continues to reshape competitive dynamics.
"Cannabis Europa exists because the industry's most consequential conversations require the right room," Cannabis Europa co-founder Stephen Murphy said. 'The London 2026 programme reflects where the European market genuinely stands — more sophisticated than ever before, consolidating, and demanding rigorous analysis."
The conference will bring together more than 70 speakers — including regulators, investors, clinicians and operators — across debate sessions, panel discussions and presentations.
Confirmed speakers include former German Bundestag member Kristine Lütke; Martin Dickie, co-founder of Brewdog, the brewery acquired by Tilray; former Trump Transition Team communications director Bryan Lanza; Medbud.wiki strategy director Tim Henley; and Hystelica chief science officer Dr Grace Blest-Hopley.
Additional speakers come from senior positions at Fieldfisher, Saul Ewing LLP, the Transform Drug Policy Foundation and the Geneva Institute.
The first day opens with a session examining the current state of the UK market, exploring whether it can shift from "caution to action" after nearly eight years of restricted NHS access to medical cannabis.
That is followed by a panel on UN drug policy and international law, questioning whether incremental steps under the 1961 Single Convention are adequate or whether more meaningful patient access is necessary.
Further sessions will address workplace and driving law complexities, regulatory challenges in Germany and ongoing price compression.
The conference concludes with a panel debate on whether Europe's medical cannabis market is making a definitive move away from flower toward pharmaceutical-grade formats.
Alongside the main stage, a secondary Greenhouse Hall will host parallel sessions across both days, and the event will feature an expanded exhibition floor.
The 2026 Business of Cannabis Awards will be presented on the main stage on May 26, honouring the companies, clinicians and advocates shaping the industry's direction.
A VIP programme running across both days will include exclusive morning breakfasts, private networking, dedicated meeting rooms and access to the awards reception.
