Elixinol Posts Best Quarter in Four Years; Ecofibre Revenue Falls

Elixinol recorded its strongest quarterly performance in four years during the three months to December, with revenue reaching A$4.3 million — a 65% increase compared to the same period the prior year and an 11% gain on the preceding quarter.

In its final quarter update for FY24, the company said unaudited full-year revenue is expected to reach $15m, representing a $6.5m improvement on FY23.

"While slightly below our $16m to $20m target, this is a significant achievement in challenging conditions," Elixinol said in its quarterly report to the ASX.

Domestic Australian sales in Q4 nearly doubled compared to the same period a year earlier, climbing from $2m to $3.8m.

Net cash used in operating activities for the quarter came to $639,000, bringing the full-year deficit to $3.5m. Elixinol said it "approached" EBITDA breakeven toward the close of Q4.

Ecofibre

Ecofibre disclosed unaudited revenue of $6m for the second quarter of FY25, a figure 12% lower than Q1 and 16% short of the previous corresponding period (PCP).

Ananda Health was one of the divisions to experience a downturn, posting revenue of $1.8m, compared to $2.5m in the prior quarter and $2.4m in the PCP.

The company said it incurred $1.7m in litigation and restructuring costs during Q2, which "continue to place a high burden on the group's cashflow".

Net cash used in operating activities for the period totalled $4.6m, pushing the half-year deficit to $7.3m.
