Epsilon Healthcare appoints new company secretary amid push to resume ASX trading

Epsilon Healthcare has named Richard Legge — director of audit and assurance services at Ure Lynam — as its new company secretary, with the appointment taking effect immediately.

In a notice to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), the company said Legge brings "significant company secretarial experience, in addition to a deep understanding of audit and assurance processes, which will assist the Epsilon board in preparing for [its] future development plans".

"Mr Legge will also play an important role in supporting the board in undertaking activities required by the ASX as it works towards an orderly lifting of the suspension of trading in the company's securities… when it has satisfied the ASX that remedial actions have been undertaken."

The board also acknowledged the efforts of outgoing company secretary Marcelo Mora, thanking him for his contributions "during what has been a tumultuous and challenging time" for the company.

Epsilon recently emerged from voluntary administration following a difficult stretch that saw CEO Peter Giannopolous dismissed and later reinstated, against the backdrop of a boardroom power struggle between former chairman Josh Cui and incoming chairman Alan Beasley.
