Epsilon Healthcare's Chairman and Board Director Removed as Administrator Acts

Epsilon Healthcare's administrator has confirmed that chairman Josh Cui and board director Stuart Cameron have been removed from the company after they failed in their bid to maintain control.

In a late announcement to the ASX, Ian Purchas from SV Partners said he had "used his powers…under the Corporations Act to remove Cui and Cameron as directors of the company".

Former chief executive Peter Giannopoulos has been reinstated as a director alongside Zoe Hutchings, and both will serve on the board with Alan Beasley.

The exit of Cui and Cameron follows a fractious creditors' meeting at which two rival proposals were put forward to steer the company out of administration — one backed by Cui and Cameron, the other by Beasley and Giannopoulos.

With the vote deadlocked at nine apiece, Purchas exercised his casting vote in favour of the Deed of Company Arrangement proposed by Beasley and Giannopoulos.

The company entered voluntary administration late last year following a bitter boardroom dispute in which Cui and Beasley exchanged public accusations and insults.
