ECS Botanics is set to introduce a new product line under its Avani brand in early 2027, designed specifically to address women's health needs.
The range, called Avani Ava, will feature flower, pessaries, capsules and a topical cream, with the company stating the lineup will "address the strong and growing demand for gender-specific treatment".
Managing director Nan-Maree Schoerie said the range meets a "clear need for well-considered, targeted products that address real clinical issues faced by women".
"We believe it has strong potential to open new conversations with prescribers and pharmacists focused on women's health," she said.
Scheduled for a January release via the Special Access Scheme, the products have been formulated to help manage conditions that women commonly report to healthcare providers.
The lineup includes a 22% THC flower, a 5mg THC/25mg CBD pessary, and a low-dose 5mg THC capsule.
