Cannim Group has finalised its purchase of UK wellness retailer and distributor Savage Cabbage through a deal combining cash and shares.
Established in 2016, Savage Cabbage supplies full-spectrum CBD products made from organically grown hemp to customers across more than 40 countries. The brand sells through its own online channel as well as physical retail locations, with additional UK stockists set to be revealed shortly.
Cannim, which began its working relationship with Savage Cabbage earlier this year, called the purchase a "significant milestone" for the company, "strategically positioning it in the UK and European markets with a proven, talented team."
Savage Cabbage founder and CEO Jade Proudman will stay on in her current role and collaborate with the Cannim team to drive the business's expansion across global markets.
Proudman said: "Cannim already feels a natural home for the brand that my family and I have carefully grown, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter of a journey that has brought me and my loyal customers out of pain and ill health into a place of endless possibility."
Cannim Group CCO Stuart Marsh added: "We are delighted to be bringing Savage Cabbage and its talented team into our international group.
"Jade's authentic story stands for everything that Cannim values: people that care, creating quality products and ensuring patients get the therapies and treatment they need at a price that's fair."
