Australian Cannabis Summit Reveals Initial Speaker Lineup for October Event

The fourth edition of the Australian Cannabis Summit is scheduled for October 28-29, with a central focus on dismantling the stigma attached to medicinal cannabis use.

Open to all and available free of charge online, the summit gathers industry thought leaders to examine topics spanning medication, patient advocacy, cultivation, global markets, and domestic legislation.

Among the first wave of confirmed speakers for 2022 are Althea head of medical strategy and education Lexi O'Dea, PlantMed Clinics medical director and educator Dr John Teh, research scientist and cultivation consultant Emily Rigby, Australian and New Zealand College of Cannabinoid Practitioners (ANZCCP) president Dr Orit Holtzman, and pain medicine specialist Dr David Bearman.

Australian Cannabis Summit organiser Chloe Jean Teh said the event will provide education "with a spotlight on the stigma surrounding medical cannabis use, the cannabis plant and public perceptions that hold people back from seeking or supporting treatment".
