Auckland's Whakamana Cannabis Museum, which has been in storage since the Covid lockdowns of 2020, is set to reopen inside the city's historic Hopetoun Alpha building.
Off the back of a fundraising gala held last year, cannabis expert and activist Abe Gray has joined forces with local investors to convert the venue into Green House, described as "the new centre of New Zealand's rapidly growing medicinal cannabis industry".
Green House brings together a legal medicinal cannabis dispensary, the revived Whakamana Cannabis Museum, the Calyx Clinic specialist prescriber, and a social club for patients, with food and beverage offerings to be added later.
Greens MP Chloë Swarbrick is scheduled to officially open the venue on Friday (August 9).
