New Zealand Cannabis Producer Aether Pacific Enters Australian Market with Locally Compliant Flower Range

Aether Pacific Pharmaceuticals has moved into the Australian market, announcing the local launch of medicinal cannabis products grown at its New Zealand facilities.

The company completed the necessary regulatory and packaging requirements to bring three of its cannabis strains to Australian patients, who will be able to access them through a prescription.

The dried flower strains were cultivated in line with Australian regulatory standards and comply with EU-cGMP requirements, with THC levels ranging from 17% to 25%.

Each strain comes in 10-gram jars and is sourced from Medical Kiwi, the wholly owned medicinal cannabis cultivation arm of Aether.

Aether has partnered with Melbourne-based pharmaceutical supplier Novachem to handle distribution through the company's existing pharmacy network.

Aether said it intends to use Novachem's network to build sales momentum and is also working with the group on potential educational programs designed to raise awareness of the benefits of its medicinal cannabis range.

Chairman Aldo Miccio said the company's entry into the Australian market is "an important step in our international expansion strategy."
